I am beyond blessed having been able to participate with ICM on a Vision Trip to Guatemala recently. To see how God is working and also to experience first hand God's presence in various ways was incredible. I am humbled to be able to represent my employer on this trip and my heart is so incredibly full from the hospitality, hope and love of the Guatemalan people.
My favorite moment was having the privilege of leading worship at a church and then having one of our interpreters come up part way through and join me in leading in Spanish. We both praised God to the same song (How Great Is Our God) in our own languages together to lead and bless God's people through worship. It was an unreal experience that was pre-empted by a willingness to serve in any way needed.
I was also so blessed to receive prayer from pastors and their family. It was a different kind of experience than here in the United States and my faith was really inspired by theirs. I remember thinking "I want to have a faith like this, a true authentic faith".
I look forward to seeing the progress of the projects we saw that will be funded through ICM. The communities will be extremely blessed by having churches and hope centers constructed. I hope to be able to go on another trip again in the near future.
